Ride A Pet Wiki

Where this table comes from

The entire roster was transcribed from a single third-party stat table, so it is graded S3 Multi-source rather than verified. The developer publishes no stat sheet of its own. Until these figures have been read off a gameplay frame, treat the ordering as reliable and the exact numbers as provisional.

Full roster

Sorted by the Index rarity order, which is roughly the order you will meet them. Speed is the base movement value before any mutation. Income is the base rate your plot earns from the pet, also before mutations. The final row is a pet the Index lists but still displays as a black silhouette, so no name or stat is published for it.

Fastest by base speed

Speed decides your egg loop. The faster your mount, the further out you can reach before a restock, which is where the rarer spawn points live.

Richest by base income

Income is what pays for radar tiers and nest upgrades. Note how little the two leaderboards overlap: only a couple of pets appear on both.

Rarity is not the same as value

Koala is the clearest example on the roster. It sits at 1 in 50, well past Axolotl at 1 in 30, yet it pays 5 percent against Axolotl’s 9 percent. Anyone ranking pets purely by how hard they are to hatch would put Koala above Axolotl and be wrong about what the pet actually does for them.

The same trap shows up at the top of the table. Kitsune carries the highest base speed on the roster at 1B, while Dragon carries the highest base income at 300,000,000 percent. They are the two best pets in the game at two different jobs, which is why this page refuses to publish a single ordered tier list without saying which axis it is ranking on.

Mutations complicate the picture without changing it. A mutation multiplies a pet’s base output, so the same mutation is worth strictly more on a pet that already has a higher base. That makes the top of each leaderboard the best place to spend a good mutation, not the middle. Mutation multipliers in this game are currently graded S4 as well, for the same reason: nobody has published a frame-confirmed table.

One entry we are not publishing yet

A second fansite lists a Lion in its roster. The stat table used for this page does not include it, and both rosters claim to have 30 entries, so one of them is wrong. Rather than quietly pick a side, this site leaves the pet out until a gameplay frame settles it.

Also unresolved: the unrevealed 1 in 7Ql entry at the end of the Index, which the game itself still shows as a silhouette.

Common questions

Is the "1 in N" number a hatch chance?
No, and this is the most common mistake in Ride A Pet coverage. The 1 in N figure is the rarity label printed in the in-game Index. It ranks pets against each other, but it is not the drop rate of any particular egg. The only published drop odds in the game belong to the paid shop eggs.
Which pet is actually the best?
It depends on what you are doing. Base speed decides how fast you reach distant nests, so it drives how many eggs per hour you can carry. Base income decides how quickly your plot earns. Those are two different jobs and one pet rarely leads both.
Why is Koala worse than a more common pet?
Koala sits at 1 in 50 and pays 5 percent, while Axolotl sits at 1 in 30 and pays 9 percent. A pet that is rarer but pays less is a real thing in this game, which is why ranking by rarity alone will mislead you.
Do mutations change these numbers?
Mutations multiply on top of the base values rather than replacing them, so the ordering on this page still holds. A mutated common pet can outrun an unmutated rare one, but it cannot overturn the base gaps between top-tier pets.
