Start here if you only read one thing

This game is currently at 76.9K players online, with 12.00M visits to date and 28.8K favourites, sampled 2026-09-17. It runs on six-player servers, which is a small number and explains a lot about how the game feels: a rare spawn point is shared with five other people who all heard the same announcement at the same moment.

The site currently documents 30 named pets, 3 confirmed mutations with 2 more known to exist but unpublished, 2 shop gacha eggs with published odds, and 7 map egg spawn tiers. Every one of those figures carries a source grade, because the available sources disagree with each other often enough that a number without a grade is not usable.

Questions

What is Ride A Pet?
A Roblox simulation game where you find eggs across a shared map, carry them home and hatch pets. The developer describes the loop on the store page: find eggs, hatch rarer and faster pets to find rarer eggs, and mutate pets to move faster. Servers hold six players, which is why the rare spawns feel contested.
Beginner guide
Does Ride A Pet have any working codes?
No. There has never been a confirmed redeemable code in this game. Every list claiming otherwise is padded with entries from other titles or from the developer’s imagination. A code appears on this site only after we have redeemed it ourselves.
Codes status
How many egg types are there?
We do not publish a total, and that is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. Three sources give three different counts because they are counting three different things: egg types listed in the in-game Index, nest families, and individual egg pages. Presenting one of those as the answer would be wrong twice over.
Egg systems
Why do eggs cost nothing on one page and Robux on another?
Because the game has two separate egg systems and most guides blur them. Map eggs are found in the world, carried home and hatched in a nest, at no cost beyond travel time. Shop eggs are a Robux gacha that hatches instantly and is the only part of the game with published odds. This site keeps the two apart everywhere.

What is the best pet in the game?
There is no single answer, because the two stats that matter point at different pets. The highest base speed and the highest base income belong to different pets, and a list that ranks one axis while calling itself a tier list is hiding the other. This site publishes both rankings and labels them as our framework rather than game data.

How do I get faster?
Raise your base speed, because every other lever multiplies it. Mutations scale with whatever base a pet already has, so a good mutation on a slow pet wastes the mutation. Route discipline is the free third lever: working the common tier between restocks and keeping a nest free does more for your session than most upgrades.
How to get faster
Where are the Blackhole Egg spawn locations?
Two independent sources agree on six areas, and those six are what this site publishes, along with the landmark that identifies each one. Three different counts circulate because the sources are counting three different things: what the Index prints, how many separate places you must search, and one list that subdivides those places and adds an area the others do not list. The spawn is broadcast to the whole server, so the real question is whether you are positioned to arrive first.

Is there an official Ride A Pet Discord?
No invite has been verified as run by the developer, so this site does not publish one. What a Ride A Pet Discord is genuinely good for is the thing a written page cannot do: comparing hatch results as they happen, confirming whether an obscure spawn point really exists, and asking about one specific pet before you spend a session chasing it. Those are exactly the questions where a room full of players beats an article. Treat a spawn list or an odds figure posted in one the way this site treats one anywhere else, as a claim rather than a fact, because the developer publishes no patch notes to check them against. The one channel that is verifiable is the game page itself, which this site links in the footer.
How egg spawning actually works
How does rebirth work?
It resets your cash and your luck in exchange for a permanent income multiplier that survives the reset. The first step takes income from 1x to 2x, which is the only step that could be corroborated. The later thresholds and multipliers are documented nowhere, so they are not listed here rather than invented.
Rebirth explained
Is this the official Ride A Pet wiki?
No. This is an independent fan project and it has no relationship with the developer or with Roblox. The developer does publish a small amount of information on the game page itself, and that is the source of record whenever there is a disagreement.
About and method
Why does every number here have a letter grade next to it?
Because the sources contradict each other. One guide describes the Blackhole Egg with six spawn locations and another with sixteen, and neither shows how it counted. A grade tells you whether a value came from the Roblox API, from an official announcement, from two agreeing sources, or from one source we are merely reporting.
How we verify
When is the next update?
Update 1 is scheduled for Saturday 19 September 2026, confirmed through the Events card on the official Roblox game page. What is in it has not been announced by anyone, and the exact hour is reported differently by different sources. The update page keeps the confirmed list separate from the expected one.
Update 1
How current is the data on this site?
Every table carries its own checked date, and the live visitor and favourite counts show the moment they were sampled. The roster and egg figures come from a single third-party source and are graded accordingly rather than presented as verified. When a value cannot be established at all, the page says so instead of supplying a plausible number.

The grading scale referenced above

Five grades cover everything published here. They answer one question: how was this value established. A high grade is not a promise that a number is still correct, because game balance changes without notice. It is a statement about where the number came from and how much weight it deserves before you plan a session around it.

S1Verified in-game
Read directly from an official API or a developer-published asset.
S2Official channel
Announced on an official channel such as the Roblox Events card.
S3Multi-source
Two or more independent sources agree on this value.
S4Single source
Only one source reports this. The source is attributed on the page.
S5Unresolved
Not established. No value is published, only how it could be established.

Two things we are deliberately not answering

The first is what the rarity labels in the Index actually say. Two sources list a Lion pet that the table this site first transcribed omits, and aligning the lists shows them offset by one row from that point up. That is a structural discrepancy rather than a rounding difference, so from Ostrich upward the rarity column on the pet database is marked as disputed instead of being quietly corrected with a guess.

The second is the break timer duration. The timer is real and it clearly matters, since it is what stops a player hoarding carried eggs, but no source states how long it runs. That single missing number decides how far from your plot a route can safely go, which makes it the most consequential gap on the site.

Worth adding because it is easy to miss: pets carry four stats, not two, and the third one that matters is jump. It decides which ridges and shortcuts a mount can use, which is why a mid-tier pet can still be the correct tool for one specific spot. Kitsune has the highest jump on the roster at 170, and the full column is published on the pet database.

Both are tracked on the wiki index alongside the other open questions, so the list of things we do not know is as visible as the list of things we do.
